Diffuse pattern outlook

Hey all, new to this forum and hair loss.

Over the last year the hair on the top of my head has thinned considerably and is noticeable when cut short/not combed. It is stable in the safe zones but hair comes out (4 or more) with the white bulb when I do pull tests on top.

I went to a dermatologist and she dismissed it as male pattern baldness and told me I was early stage male pattern baldness told me to start min and that propecia has sides and did not reccommend it.

Anyway I was wondering how fast the diffuse pattern progresses. My hair line is the same it was for years just thinning quick. Or is this how other patterns start and I just shaved my head and noticed it?

I know everyone is different but what have other diffuse thinners experienced? I am 29 and this is just happening so fast, I thought it was slower than this.

Thanks for any posts

Thats definitely male pattern baldness mate. If you don't start taking finasteride and minoxidil soon within a few months you'll lose a lot of hair and will progress to a NW5. Go and see a doctor who will prescribe the BIG3.

Your derm clearly doesn't know what she's talking about. If you want to save your hair you need finasteride asap. This should be the first line of attack and then later if you wish you can start minoxidil
