Don't know why i have been reluctant to share, but can really appreciate the post by Bash on this section of the forums. I know for a fact my hair has improved significantly, but am cautious to declare success becuase I know what i have is only a reprieve .
Anyway my name is HB aka Harry Balls 37 yo. I like to lurk here sometimes. Been thinning at a snails pace since about 17. Keep in mind I am a diffuse thinner and used to have a massive helmet of wavey hair "Dr McDreamy HB". When diffuse generally you must lose 50% or more before it starts becoming visible to others. The summer before I got on finasteride my loss started picking up an alarming rate and I was geting comments from friends and relatives" wow, your'e really losing it" One time a guy was up on a latter above me on the job site and he shouted something like " the back of my head is starting to look like a babboons ***". As you can imagine it was great for laughs but I secretly wanted to drop a bucket of bolts on his head from a 30 foot scaffold.
I have been on minoxidil for a long time but have added finasteride about 14 months ago. I also use prox-n daily and pickarts CP serum on my noggin a couple times a week at night. I have been fortunate to have experienced some moderate regrowth, but significant thickening and darkening of my existing hair all over the entire scalp, including my temple points at the sides. I am alot less self-contious as a result.
Don't know what else to say, other than i am very gratefull for what i have at the moment and I hope it hangs around a long time.
