Wow, I must bow before your infinite wisdom
No, I don't want that - neither your approval nor your patronizing comments.

Please, continue to make the absolute minimum effort as a poster. When you stumble across content, don't check the source, don't vet the technology, don't find the relevant science (god forbid a paper is posted on the New Research, Studies and Technologies section), don't check if the topic has been posted already, but most of all, make sure you don't hesitate to start injecting nonsense suggestions into this section, like making a PDMS topical, for example, and mislead others. It's not as though simple Google searches could easily eliminate all of the aforementioned concerns.

What you refer to as my "infinite wisdom" is just common sense, you brat. Knowing nothing about what you are talking about is pretty unacceptable. Don't be so naive as to believe everything you read, and especially don't peddle it around so others also get silly ideas. For f***'s sake, let's keep this forum good - it's the only good one for hair loss.

P.S. if you want such a topical so badly, look through the shampoo section at a local grocery store and find one that that contains silicones to get your magic lotion (hint: half of them will).

First, calm down. Secondly, the whole topical dimethylpolysiloxane was a joke. Thirdly, I deliberately wrote "What do you guys think of this?" to see if there is some truth behind that and because I didn't believe this article. As you can see it worked pretty well because you gave me the input that it is wrong, although arrogantly.

Yeah, you make fair points. I guess the upsetting thing to me wasn't you asking about it, but the fact that this was posted several times on here already. We should agree that you definitely could have looked, if only on this section of this website alone, before posting.

In all fairness, I do harbor a hatred for seeing this particular article around, since even people I know in real life have been sending it to me. For whatever reason, this piece of misinformation has spread like a forest fire and the number of people it has ensnared is incredibly frustrating to me. It is very unethical to write a piece so obviously incorrect as this and have it reverberate through modern society for so long.

I'm not surprised by that. Every new "progress" is like manna from heaven because people are just very concerned about their hair and are fu**ing tired of getting side effects. But yeah, I should have checked for threads about this topic, that was a mistake of me.

Hi there, are you saying that trying dimethylpolysiloxane is nonsense for alopecia? Is this in something else edible other than fries anyone know?
