Discrepancy in recommended graft counts.

I have been receiving initial recommendations for graft counts/surgery from various US doctors just based on pictures. Konior's clinic recommended 3,500 grafts. Vories clinic recommended 4,000 grafts over 2 days.

Another clinic initially recommended 2,500 and then the doctor looked at the pictures and said only 2,000 may do it. They seem to believe that the prp/crp will help the miniaturization at the crown so maybe they don't plan to graft there like the other doctors

Are these widely different early graft estimates typical?

Now I'm not really sure what to think. Maybe the 2,000 Graft clinic thinks my donor is weak? Diffused_confidence has me paranoid about that now lol.

First things first. I'm not a doctor or surgeon. My 2 cents is worth... 2 cents. I get most of my info from a YouTube show called The Bald Truth. One thing I do know is that prp is not fda approved as a proven treatment for baldness. I also know that there are risks of doing mega sessions.

So my view is, the surgeon with 2000 grafts seems more conservative in preserving available donor hair because you only get to use these hairs once and if you go all in on a giga session with 4000 grafts and the results suck then you are screwed.

However this same surgeon is trying to sell prp which I personally think is a scam. If you ask me, start with the hairline first. Avoid these mega sessions. I would avoid all 3 surgeons.

Also, if any surgeon has a guarantee for replacing failed grafts for free, run away.
