Dissolving finasteride in alcohol

I was reading azyx's blog about how he dissolves 5mg into 10ml alcohol and drinks 1ml every other day. I interested in this because i'm getting sides at 1.25mg a day at the moment and I want to reduce to 0.5 maybe 0.5 EOD and this seems like a good way to still get the cost benefit of proscar.

Is this generally thought to work?

Sorry for this. But I never heard so much rubbish in my life. Basically you want 0.5mg! Yep? So you dissolve 5mg in 10 ml alcohol? Right? And? You do know you still intaking 5mg right? Unless you only drink 1ml, right? Do you get my boat?

Go out and buy genuine 1mg propecia! Stop messing about with the above.

He said in plain English that he's going to drink only 1 mL.

So what's the verdict on dissolving it in alcohol?

I am tapering off Propecia and would like to cut my dose down to 1/16 of a pill. Does anyone know if finasteride will remain stable in alcohol for 16 days?

For a "Doctor" you lack the ability to read posts probably and work out appropriate dosages from simple dilutions.

It's a bit awkward and if you're dosing EOD you want to get it pretty close to 0.5.

Been trying to find some solid data on how long before finasteride degrades in alcohol. My 10ml lasts me 20 days so i'm just trying to find out if this is too long to keep it.

Why not just cut the pills into 4ths and dissolve each of those into alcohol, one every fourth day, that way on the 5th you have the new solution, and can do that 4 times without worrying about loss of effectiveness. Plus you can cut those pills easily into 4ths, so that isn't a problem.
