DIY spironolactone Cream, + Saw Palmetto.

I've found this recipe online for a homemade topical spironolactone cream:-

* 3% SPIRONOLACTONE CREAM: Crush 6x 100mg Aldactone tablets to fine powder. Stir into 20ml of Cetaphil or Cerave cream (or other bland moisturiser cream).*

Is this recipe OK? It will work, and come out at the right percentage of spironolactone?

Also, is there any way i could add Saw Palmetto to this cream to enhance DHT inhibition, or would the SP be an unnecessary addition to the topical spironolactone?

i really appreciate any answers guys.

I wouldn't really mess with the Saw Palmetto. The spironolactone alone should serve you well.

No problem, and I gotta be honest, I actually don't know if that is a good recipe. I've heard of Aloe Vera gel being a better way to go than Cetaphil.

You can try googling "make your own spironolactone cream" and the first result will link you to a good thread where they give out instructions on how to prepare it.

Having said that, why not just get the S5 cream they sell right here on HairLossTalk.com? Just wondering, because it might avoid you the hassle.

Looking into spironolactone cream. Aldactone is prescription tho correct? So to make your own you would have to buy from an online pharm?
