Dizziness / vertigo

Hey, did anybody experienced vertigo / dizziness while being on finasteride?

Im 4 weeks into my finasteride therapy with daily 0,5 mg.
The first time I noticed the diziness was after 8 days for like 3-4 days then it completly disappeared but now it is back. I never had any problems with vertigo before nor did I change my lifestyle in any way except the use of finasteride.

Did anybody experience the same or something related? Did it disappear again?
i would like to hear your opinion on this :book:

unfortunately my brother developped tinitus 3 years into finasteride, he gets dizzy spells every once and a while. Surprisingly when i went to the Doctor to get my prescription for finasteride he seemed the most worried about that side in particular, he says its due to low blood pressure due to taking finasteride.

Yeah I'm sure tinnitus was caused by finasteride. It wasn't going to rock concerts or all the other various things that cause it... Please explain to me why tinnitus wasn't a side effect in any of the millions of studies?

I can. Because there were probably more people or the same amount of people taking a sugar pill that developed it! Same with gynecomastia and testicle ache etc. People get these things with or without propecia. You know how many people in their 30s with moobs that don't take propecia! Probably more people getting moobs off the drug then there are people on the drug. Because people on the drug are worried about getting moobs they go out of their way to stay in shape to make sure they don't.

Hmm I'm kind of worried about lasting effects because of the vertigo. Right now I'm willing to take this burden to stay on finasteride.

To the tinitus; I think everything is possible but very unlikely that finasteride is the cause of it. As yoshi pointed out there are a lot of other factors like rock concerts, listening to loud music in general and so on...

I think yoshi is a credible contributor to this forum but don't try to giv me the gyno bull****. finasteride caused gyno in me and thank god in acted early was able to get rid of most of it. But finasteride is the reason why my gyno developped. Tinnitus could have been caused by other factors to finasteride I don't doubt that. BUT this whole dizziness side effect leads me to believe that some people may develop it on finasteride.

I mean it's definitely possible don't get me wrong. It makes sense that it would cause gynecomastia for a small percent of men.

I'm more or less thinking of the guys they get gynecomastia 4 years after starting and had changed their lifestyle to getting drunk off of very hoppy estrogenic beers and eating lots of pizza and stopping exercising. Yes it must be the finasteride. But it you get gyno 2 weeks after starting it's possible the increase in testosterone caused it the same way a boy going through puberty can get gyno..

Actually I would agree more with g.i joe.
There is a increased risk of getting gyno while on finasteride even though it was very rare in the studies. Of course there are other factors such as lifestyle who influence this but let's don't be neglectful. finasteride is a powerful drug which is safe but has its certain sides who are undeniable.

Gyno, growth of actual breast tissue due to hormonal imbalance, caused by beer and pizza and not the hormone altering drug with gyno as a listed side effect?

Well I'm not talking about glandular gynecomastia tits here. I'm talking about the overweight bros at craft beer fests that have fatty tissue in their chest. Which is actually pseudo gynecomastia.
Most of the guys complaining about gyno have pseudo gynecomastia. Not true gyno.

Now Fredthebelgian got true gyno but that was from antidepressants. Most of the guys that have posted their gyno pics on here screaming finasteride have them moobs look like Tony soprano...

And on a side note. Beer hops are highly estrogenic. If you are throwing back double
ipas on a daily basis the alcohol will lower your testosterone and all the hops, bad food you eat when you drink will cause an increase in fat and estrogen and you will definitely be more prone to getting an increase in chest fat.
