a novel antiandrogen may just be the answer to a very common problem associated with taking traditional 5ar inhibitors and receptor blockers that is reflex hyperandrogenicity AKA upregulation which is a nightmare for all hairloss sufferers.
DL3 is intended to be a medication for prostate cancer but applied topically it may justbe a helluva good weapon to fight androgenetic alopecia..... and theoretically stopping the drug won't cause dramatic shedding (as it is the case with propecia) we should just find out if it has systemic sides when administered topically......

here is the abstract from the patent that was filed :

One embodiment is directed toward a method for treating an individual with a disorder affected by androgen receptor activity. This method includes administering a therapeutic amount of DL3 (6-amino-2-(2-4-tert-butyl-phenoxy)-ethylsulfanyl)-1H-pyrimidin-4-one) to the individual. In an additional embodiment, the disorder affected by androgen receptor activity includes cancer. Another embodiment is directed toward a method for treating an individual with prostate cancer. This method includes administering to the individual a therapeutic amount of an androgen receptor antagonist which reduces the production of prostate specific antigen and has only negligible androgen receptor agonist effects. (meaning your body will not create new AR genes as a reaction to your taking this drug )

Sinere, the makers of Flutagel, was already talking about making a topical with DL3 in it. They said it's a very new drug, however, so it might take them some time to do it.
