I am a 36 year old male and wanted to know If I need a hair transplant, I started to get a thinning crown around 6 years ago.
I currently use ketoconazole 2% for 1 year and it has not helped at all.

I also tried minoxidil 15% for 1 month but I am getting diziness as a side affect.

If you're going to get a transplant you need to be on finasteride to keep your native hair.

So with that in mind I would suggest taking it for 6 months and seeing how you go.

Also pictures would help us assess if a hair transplant would actually work for you, 'thinning at the crown 6 years ago' is pretty vague.

I tried to upload the photo and it errors out on me. I have tried propecia and it gives me bad side affects so I will not use it anymore.

Realistically you can't get a hair transplant without being on finasteride.

You could cross your fingers and hope CB-03-01 comes to market in 5 years time, but you need some form of antiandrogen to stabilise your hairloss otherwise a hair transplant is not going to get you anywhere!

minoxdil should help if I can't take propecia due to its side affects

ketoconazole shampoo is a DHT blocker? I can use this shampoo to help maintain the hair?
