Well, it shows a more detailed illustration of your hairloss stage. I don't think there's much to comment about it given that (1) it is clear that you have hairloss and (2) you haven't mentioned that you're on treatments and posted pics to compare.
I was more just thinking of scalp and hair condition. I've posted other photos of my "progress" (if any) as well as my regimen - for example, see the "3 months - big shed" thread I started. But there's not really that much to see to be honest.
FWIW, I use minoxidil 5% x2 daily, derma-rolling 1.5mm x1 weekly, nizoral shampoo, rosemary, lavender and emu oil, minimum 5min hard scalp massage 6 days a week ... and now MSM too, starting a 5g per day and working upwards.
Might sound like a crazy idea, but judging by one of the close ups some of your hairloss might be due to sebum plugs. Try dying it out with dead sea salt and exfoliating your pores in same way you would for blackheads around face and nose.
It's a very slim chance and before I get heckled, it's a new theory I have and a few others from some other forums, you clearly have male pattern baldness but I'm seriously interested in this new theory. Problem I have is I can't get properly in to my scalp to try the theory in fear of losing more hair as don't have it shaved short enough, I have considerable hairloss but mainly diffuse thinning (although I'm making good ground over last few months and have increased volume with magnesium and MSM). Ive attempted this new theory on the part of hairline that as receeded about 1.5 cm and I swear I think I'm making more progress there.
Anyway bit of a far out theory, but worth a go especially when you have your hair so short. There's a recent thread on here where someone squeezed out sebum plugs and noticed massive increase in new hair growth. Squeeze those follicles out and get back to me if you have any success! won't do you any harm trying.
I have read about this theory too, and it strikes me as woo-woo quackery.
Having said that, I also agree with you that it's worth trying. I've read a few anecdotal accounts now of amazing results. I can also easily imagine why it's not a mainstream treatment if it does work ... giving yourself a hard head-massage for even five minutes per day is really tiring. At least my forearms get a good workout.
I'm not quite sure how to "squeeze out sebum from a follicle". I have actually tried just by pinching my scalp, but unless there is a visible blackhead there, nothing comes out. I do however give myself a nice, hard head massage for at least five minutes every day - and if you add it up, actually a lot more, because I do it often during the day just randomly for a minute or so.
I don't know if the massage will do anything, but it's worth trying. It definitely increases blood flow to the scalp. I can see that easily because my head is all red afterwards.
Also, you can do it yourself (maybe not the sebum squeezing thing). What you do is have one hand firmly on either side of your head manipulate your scalp by pushing the sides around, hard. Like squeeze them together so your scalp forms rolls of skin and pull the apart in a stretching motion. Do that all around your head. You'll definitely feel the increased blood flow after a few minutes. Whether it does anything or is just quackery, I have no idea.
