I'm asking specifically about the use of hair dryers and the use of Nizoral, both of which dry out the hair. Sometimes I feel like after I blow dry my hair or use Nizoral, my hair looks thicker, but then sometimes my hair seems kind of thin and weak afterwards. What do you guys think? Do you feel using these things gives you thicker or thinner looking hair?

The nizoral does seems to make mine appear thicker(also some "thickening" shampoos as well). Cant use the hairdryer, makes my hair like straw.

I get the same effect from nizoral shampoo... it makes my hair alot thicker and well gives it hair. Its not manageable at all though but it makes the existing hair look like theres 10 more strands next to it.

Adding minoxidil foam does the same effect for me so I can end up with even thicker hair....

I too would advise use it only 2-3x per week, I use johnsons baby shampoo or alpecin which is sorta a coffee boosting shampoo makes my hair more thicker but better to handle also.

I always had a thick head of hair but after accutane, the back wasn't as thick, and my forehead looks bigger due to a receeding hair line.

I know exactly what you mean, I think that it just depends on how dried out your hair is at the time.
