Do you think I should add finasteride?

HI, I've made a topic on here a couple of months ago, and some posters told me to go on the big 3. Right now I'm using Rogaine and Nizoral but no finasteride. I've been on Rogaine for roughly 3 month and so far I'm seeing some minor regrowth in the temples, but nothing significant. The first pictures has a red outline showing how much regrowth has occured, also my right temple seems to be responding a lot quicker than the left one, is this normal?

So what do you guys think? Should I just stick with Rogaine and Nizoral for now?

Out of curiousity, which side do you sleep on?
I sleep on the side that is showing more regrowth.

I would wait a year and let the Rogaine and Nizoral reach full potential and then if you want add the finasteride. I am sure you will get alot of responses and good advice here. Good luck to you :)

Well first I think you should always see a doctor first...so assuming a doctor gives you the green light....

I think you should have hopped on finasteride first then minoxidil years and years and years later.

I was actually thinking the same thing. I actually wanted to wait more than that, but it just seems like people have more success on the temples when they use both minoxidil and finasteride.

Hmm I guess I can still do that, since I've only been on Rogaine since beginning of February.

Great point Cassin! Also if you throw everything at it all at once you will never know what which treatment was actually the one that gave you the results.

Alright I'll probably just stick with my current regimen for now, I'm still wondering why one side is responding better than the other though.

It surprises me someone seeking pshychiatric advice would be advising a young man to use finasteride as a first option considering what's known of its potential for neurodgeneration.

lol....thats meditation for someone who has a lot going on. Hardly psychiatric advice in the context you're trying to argue. I think I made that clear.

And its not in the FDA studies.

And I told him to go to a doctor.

Thus the nature of male pattern baldness. My right side looks far worse than my left.

i agree with all the above posts

one treatment at a time, though you prob should have started finasteride first seeing that your loss is not that bad.

from my experience, finasteride had positive growth all over, which took well over a year to notice.

minoxidil took less than 2 months to notice regrowth, but i'm on month 5 nearing 6 that the early growth is starting to really thicken up.
