Food inc looks like a good film.
The factory farm is evil and hellish, no doubt. I'm a meat eater at the moment but will be going vego as soon as possible (health reasons don't allow me to make the change just yet). I think plant souces of proteins are probably better for us anyway the meat we are eating now is much different from what we evolved on...it's grain fed, has more fat in it, higher in omega 6, lower in omega 3, pesticide residues and all the rest of it. No doubt we ate much less of it in the hunter gatherer days as well.

Yeah, I watch a lot of movies on youtube boondock, mostly kung fu movies. I'm actually going to my father's house in Puerto Rico for a week. No internet and in the middle of the jungle basically so I like to go with a bunch of movies on my hard drive to keep me entertained. No youtube access out there. It's crazy, when I was a kid I couldn't survive w/o cable, now I can't survive w/o internet.

The documentary that I've seen in the recent past that has left, by far and away, the largest impact on my thinking is Edward Burtynsky's "Manufactured Landscapes". Here's the trailer, it hardly does justice to the imagery in the film:
