Does 5% Minoxidel actually work for regrowth?

I've been to a few drms here is Aus, they all tell me that long term studies suggest that 2% works just aswell as the 5%. The only difference being, 5% works quicker initially and drops off, while 2% is fairly consistent.
Dont know to what extent these claims are accurate.

Been using it for 4 years and I still experience periods of thickening/regrowth, although I believe I'm an unusually good responder. Started finasteride a little over 2 months ago and I believe in combination with the minoxidil, it's beginning to work wonders. The top and front are thickening, the crown is filling in quicker, and I have dozens, if not hundreds, of tiny dark hairs pushing through all over the front/top. I think within the year, I will have hair like I haven't had since I was 25. (going to be 37 in a couple weeks)

I'm still using it twice a day and I guess I will continue with 2 apps per day until I no longer see improvements in my hair. I think a lot of my success with minoxidil is because I've very gradually increased the dosage throughout my use....although that wasn't really intentional. The first couple years I probably applied it once a day more often that twice because of work and the grease factor. I've been working from home for over a year now and have been able to use it faithfully twice a day. In fact, I've had 2 sheds/periods of thickening in the last 12 months, the most recent in the last 6 months when I started using 3 ml or so a day. I'm back to 2ml per day and will stick with that for a while.

Thanks Stax, I hope it continues! Off topic....I'm surprised your 30% minoxdil/Community Drug friend hasn't infiltrated this forum with his load of crap. What a loser he is.

LOL, yes he is a loser aint he? He already got banned from HLH for using racist remarks to a user, and he knows he'll get flamed here forsure, its so obvious he's a salesman. He does post at regrowth because there isnt a moderator there. Im flattered his loser life is now devoted to trying to make stupid coments at me, lol. Good Luck!
