Does Avodart Cause Regrowth Of Hair?

Hello, does Avodart cause regrowth of hair? I am looking for regrowth of hair on my temples. I am aware of the drug finasteride, however, due to side effects I do not want to try finasteride so that's why I am considering Avodart instead. Thank you for answering.

They're both 5AR inhibitors

Finasteride inhibits 2 types of 5AR. Avodart inhibits all 3 types of 5AR. If you get sides on finasteride its more than likely you'll get the same sides, if not worse. From some i've spoken to, they had to leave avodart and go back to finasteride because avodart made them literally unable to think properly.

Also as far as growth goes, its unlikely you'll get any regrowth on the temples from either drugs - if you do then you're part of the minority.

It's not 5x stronger. Dutasteride inhibits ~ 90% of DHT @ 0.5mg/day and finasteride does ~ 70%. Not a big difference.

It inhibits all 3 types of 5ar
And you can take dutasteride every 5 days and reduce DHT just as much as finasteride does.
When i was on 250mg of test (around 2000ng/dl test levels), my DHT was undetectable by the lab tests thanks to dutasteride. Thats how powerful it is.
I didnt mean 5x literally, but its significantly stronger than finasteride. Definetely more than just 20%
