does balancing horomones mean regrowth?

I know I have Androgenetic Alopecia. I know I have PCOS. I know that I obviously have horomone imbalances going on, which I'm doing everything to correct. What I cannot find about female Androgenetic Alopecia is whether or not fixing the horomone imbalance means regrowth of hair? Or, once the process begins, is it too late?

My stylist says that even though my sides and temple areas have underdeveloped baby hairs.... due to the Androgenetic Alopecia, the fact that there is a hair there as opposed to just skin means the follicles are still functioning to some degree and there's a good change they can begin producing better hairs under the right circumstances. Same with the top of my scalp. Anyone know if this is true?

It might result in regrowth. I would recommend reading Dr. Lee's books, either on perimenopause (for the 30s-50) or menopause. His website doesn't do his research justice, but it will give you info on the books. Avail. at amazon, for less than $20.

I have checked out his website, and I'm thinking about getting some progesterone cream. I am pretty sure with my research of symptoms, PCOS, and my thyroid levels, that low progesterone would explain a lot. Of course, out of all the horomone levels tested, no one tested that one. Have you tried the natural creams? I don't want to take a synthetic form where I have to worry about taking it and possibly getting pregnant as I understand that can be a bad thing.
