Does estrogen (female hormones) help in fighting hair loss?

Does estrogen help in in fighting hair loss? I heard some stories from gay men who are taking contraceptive pills/female hormones like Dianne 35, Premarin that it helps. Sometimes I want to believe them coz all of them have gorgeous and thick hair, all of them are lady-like. They said taking female hormones keeps their hair and skin healthy.

Can someone please enlighten me on this.

I'm not sure about the details, but I believe when you supplement with estrogenic drugs it has an antagonistic effect on male pattern baldness in many cases depending on what drug you are taking.

1 study showed 2% nizoral to be about as potent a growth stimulant as 2% minoxidil.

Excess estrogen in men will give you premature aging, not healthy skin. As well as a higher risk of prostate and breast cancer.
