Does Minoxidil Cause Hairs To Grow On The Body??

Hiya guys, i been on minoxidil, propecia and nizoral for 9 weeks tomorrow. i was just wondering, is it known that minoxidil causes hair in unwanted areas? iv noticed on my fingers quite abit more hair growth, also on the tops of my arms seems like loads of finner hairs have c*m thru (eg bicep). and the normal area of between the eyebrows and side of my hair has seen hairs growing through which i have to pluck all out about once a week.

Why is this happening and is there anything i can do to stop it? i put this in this section as i dont beleive it can be the propecia.

body hair usually accompanies male pattern baldness, especially as you get older. However, minoxidil does cause body hair everywhere when it is absorbed systemically. The goal of the topical is to grow your head hair a lot, and only give your body a very small amount, though it has to get broken down sometime.

I don't know what it is metabolised to or where this occures. It is possible it happen in the skin. But if it is absorbed too fast or too much it will probably enter the blood stream in large quanitites. This is good for guys like me who plan to get their whole body lasered, but bad for guys who don't like more body hair.


Hey, where are all the manly men on this board. I thought something is good if it puts hair on your chest. Have the women got you all trained to shave?

yeh thing is, i dont want hair on the top of my arms, and on my face where its not meant to be. do you think hair removal cream cud work well? i would want my back lazered, i definately dont want tht getting hairy.

du think possily im absorbing it systematically too much? i just dont want it to progress, its ok at the moment.

systemic absorption is very likely. the creams are not permenant and can burn your skin. men who go bald also get body hair, though finasteride should help with that some.

hmmm, i dnt wana be hairy. i shave my chest, sumtimes my stomach and down below short. feels much better. so many people shave and wax their chest nowadays. id get my back lasered tho definately.
