Does minoxidil continue encouraging hair regrowth past the one year mark?
I've been on both finasteride and min for over a year now and I was just wondering if I should be expecting any more improvements from here on.

Cheers

It depends, it will certainly maintain minoxidil hair.

Minoxidil had super power for first year for me. Then after year effectivness decreased about half. I wish i started finasteride in the same time with minoxidil. I would have been now NW0, insteand of NW2.

Check out Someday's posts. He proves both can help you maintain after you peak.

I waited even 1.5 - 2 years and I am now NW3 instead of NW1

Bad mistake, so I totally agree with you

Hey man, strategically speaking...what you think about saving those first-year-super-powers for when hitting higher levels of despair? Given it's effectiveness time frame, I really have this doubt...I think you are 26 ~ 30 y/o like me, right? What if you saved that punch for your future 30 something NW3 self? Asking because this is genuinely a big doubt for me. I don't have a final conclusion to when pull the minoxidil trigger and commit to this f*****g daily topical routine.

It really doesnt have to be such a big deal. I throw it on once a day, at some point at night before i go to sleep. It takes about 2 minutes to do.

Hahahaha sorry man, don't be offended, it was more a random guess than anything, i didn't mean you look old. Well, if I was 20 maybe I would rather use the initial boost than wait.

Its no big deal to use the foam

I don't think it's such a big deal guys, my concern regarding my long-term strategy is more related to the time frame of effectiveness than anything else. If I had crown loss I think my debut in the ''big 2'' army would be much, muuuuch easier on my mind. But having the ''temples-only'' pattern of loss made me a LOT hesitant to even start finasteride.

I personally don't see why anyone would delay treatment. Honestly, if you can financially handle it then I'd suggest jumping on both min and finasteride. Just because you're going to end up waiting after you begin your treatment anyways, as results take time.

I've been on finasteride and min for almost 2 years and am thinking of adding Nizoral to the mixture as well. Do you think it's a worthy addition?
