Does Nioxin cause shedding?

hello everyone. i've been on propecia for about a year and a half. started shedding at the beginning for about two months but it got better. not sure if propecia's helping. my hair's getting thinner but maybe not as rapidly if i were not on propecia.

i've recently started using nioxin shampoo and have started shedding again. does anyone know if this is normal? i'm thinking that because nioxin cleans up dht, it may cause initial shedding just like propecia? thanks.

The only thing I can think of is what you said. The Nioxin improves the scalp and "claims" to clean up dht but im not sure if it actually does.. But this could increase the effects of finasteride and cause a shed maybe. I have been using Nioxin shampoo and conditioner for about a year and from what I know it can cause a shed when u start using it. I go every other day switching between Nioxin and Nizoral. Good luck
