Does Nizoral Shampoo Have Any Side Effects?

I read that using this shampoo is comparable to using Rogaine alone. However, I wonder if it has any side effects (whether temporary or long term)? From googling I only found headaches as a side effect but I wonder how often that would occur.

I keep my hair very short by the way. Almost bald even.

Dry hair/skin is a side effect for me, but it is very easy to fix though with lotion for the skin/coconut oil for the hair.

Lmao did you read that in a story book? You are being mislead, comparing nizoral to minoxidil is like comparing a shotgun to a squirt gun. Nizoral is a nice addition but is nothing compared to minoxidil. Side effects of nizoral I experienced is a dry scalp but after limiting use it went away. Nizoral alone is useless in battling hair loss though, I would use it in combination with minoxidil and finasteride.

edit: And I'm personally not a fan of minoxidil because it does go systemic and mess with the heart a bit, a reason why I don't use it and in my opinion it's more risky to use than finasteride.

Ketoconazale supposedly has anti-androgen benefits, but is there anything in nizoral that acts as an effective vehicle to actually get keto down to the follicles? The main benefit you're likely to get from nizoral shampoo imo is anti inflammation and improving the overall health of your scalp, which are good things, but not comparable to stimulating growth of follicles like minoxidil

Yes. I myself about a week ago stopped using Nizoral completely after 10 years and switched to Regenepure DR which is sulfate free and also has better ingredients for hairloss like saw palmetto. I use their intense volumizing conditioner with biotin after that. Apart from my wallet complaining a lot, I can already see the difference after just one week. We should all remember that nizoral is mostly first tailored for people with hair dandruff and not hairloss.

I use it everyday basically. Feels so good to rid the minoxidil overnight itch. I rinse out shampoo with protein shampoo then use a good conditioner after. No issues.

Try Regenepure DR instead which has 1% ketaconazole.
