Does Rogaine foam make hair appear thicker?

...and I don't mean it stimulating growth for thicker hairs.

I mean the product itself, when it dries on the hair does it stick on leaving the appearance of slightly denser hair? I notice the next day after the product I feel like my hair "looks" better/thicker. Maybe it's just my imagination and maybe the foam is just a nice styling product that works for me. Any experiences or insight more than welcome.

It does. I think it's the PG just sticking to it and making the hair seem thicker and stronger. Especially when I had short hair it made a big difference. But eventually I had build-up, contributing to an itch and scalp issues. I switched to the foam and it wasn't as bad, but it was still a pain to wash out, had to scrub and shampoo several times over just to get my scalp clean. So eventually I started taking the oral version instead.

I agree, thanks for the input.

TBH I am a bit disappointed, because now I am almost positive that a percentage of my perceived gains were just cosmetic and temporary from the foam itself. Minoxidil is enough of a charade as is, I don't need another ingredient to give an illusion of thickness LOL. However, at least now if I haven't washed my hair in a couple days and it kinda looks like ****, the foam at least takes a bit of the edge off and makes it look a bit nicer.

I know what you mean. The foam is kind of like a decent mousse. Eventually it should actually make the hair shafts themselves thicker and healthier, though.
