Does rogaine have any side effects?

When I say side effects I mean incurable side effects such as impotence. And does the hair fall off once you stopped using it?

Yep. Side effects for me are way worse than finasteride. Most people with minoxidil sides complain about dark circles, wrinkles and other skin issues with it. I didn't have a problem with my skin when I used it every day but I had other problems with it. So now I try to use only a small amount once a week. If your body can tolerate it then go for it.

The side effects are usually skin related (bloating slightly, drying out, bags under the eyes).

The sexual side effects of finasteride aren't associated with Rogaine. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen anyone had such effects from it.

Hair usually falls back out 3 or more months after you stop using it so it's something you need to use permanently (well, according to their leaflet until you turn 50).

I have to say, I have noticed slight dryness under my eyes, closest to the tear duct, since using Regaine (UK version... no idea why they changed the name here).

Does anyone know why minoxidil causes this? Does it pull blood and nutrients away from the face to feed the scalp instead?

It's very rare and as mentioned above it's mainly skin irritation.

I have had some sexual side effects from minoxidil specifically rogaine foam, once i stopped using it those symptoms went away very slowly though, minoxidil and finasteride have different effects on different people
