Does the length of hair have anything to do with hair loss?

does longer hair fall out easier? If it falls out does it grow back? I know that longer hair may look thinner but does it have any effect on balding? they need a stoneface emoticon. : l

I doubt it highly, given the process of male pattern baldness as we understand it.
