Watch this video of Jason Jacobson from Fun CPR on "LIVE with Kelly and Michael" -- need to either live in the United States, or use a VPN to access the region-locked video:

As you can see, he has spiked bangs, but is noticeably balding just behind them.
Does this look like a hair transplant recipients worst nightmare? ie. Getting a hair transplant.. it blends in well at the time it is done, but you keep on losing the hair that surrounds it.. so you are left with bangs that you can grow out [transplanted hair] and the rest of it is massively thinned out / noticeably bald.
