Does topical Dutasteride cause shedding?

Does topical Dutasteride cause shedding? If so how long will it last? Is there a chance the shed could be permanent?

I think so - every time I try adding a few dutasteride capsules to minoxidil my hair looks worse for months. I’m back to a few tabs of finasteride in minoxidil now - seems better. Was hoping I could use up my dutasteride which cause side effects pains orally.
