Dr. Lee - minoxidil.com gripe

I ordered minoxidil 5% over 2 weeks ago and just now they are telling me I need to fill out paper work and pay them $20 for a prescription/consultation.
What a racket.

Why do I need to pay for a prescription when all I want to order is the normal minoxidil 5%?

I have ordered regular minoxidil from him before, but now that I think about it, it may have been in combination with propecia, never by itself.

You are required to obtain a consutation/presription because something to do with california law, and I would hardly call the 20 dollar fee a "racket" Dr Lee provides a valuable service and wonderful products. For that 20 dollars you can email him any time you have a question and he will respond quickly...sometimes within an hour or two. He is very knowledgeable regarding male pattern baldness...more so than 99.9% of the doctors out there. Once you are his patient and begin ordering his products, the service is nothing short of outstanding. I receive my items within 3 days of ordering and I'm on the other side of the country and the shipping fee is very reasonable.

The $20 consultation fee is a one time hit. After that you can can order as much as you want and as often as you want and receive a quality service. Spironolactone is also a prescription product and the one-time fee also covers you for ordering any of his products.

Even if you are ordering only his minoxidil - his standard 5% and his soon to be available 12.5% are felt to be among the cleaniest and non-greasiset available.

His service is well worth the initial fee.

Yeah I guess it makes sense. I was just waiting and waiting and nothing showed up... I didn't realize I had to have a script for regular minoxidil through Dr Lee.

I agree that Dr. Lee has very good products and service, but since the title of this thread has "gripe" in it ...

The last time I ordered from him they sent me a form letter type shipping confirmation that was like a bulk email. The "to" address had my email address, along with about 20 others - apparently everyone else whose orders were shipping that day. I really don't really like a bunch of other patients of his having my email address sent to them in their confirmations.
