At that price I'd rather add a little more $$$ and get a transplant depending on what scale of hairloss you have.
The results will last longer than a couple of years.
So really...nobody has experience with Prasad? The pictures he shows are pretty impressive and claims it lasts at least a few years.
I spent 2500 as a med student ( he gave me a 1k discount) on this treatment and it did jack. I also have agressive hair loss and I was 23 at the time post hair transplant. But yea i regret doing it especially now that Im a surgeon and i could pretty much do my own prp
Hair Restoration is the only option when you have run out of donor hair. I had a mega session with Dr. Hasson back in 2008 (which went great) but now after 8 years, I need more hair and have not enough donor hair. If you are looking for the cheapest FUT/FUE transplants, go to India and if you really want quality stuff, don't compromise on the costs.
i would consult with other well know NYC hair transplant hair loss Drs before spending $5000
Dr Bernstine Dr Wesly, Dr Unger, Dr Paul, Dr Feller are off top of my head for NYC. I think have seen name Shapiro often.
There is also DR Greco in Florida (not an MD but a PA) who works with PRP for years the women on other hair blogs talk about him a lot in regards to PRP.
I am seeing Dr Wesly right now in NYC and i like him a lot. He's conservative and he never 'pushed' anything on me. His price quote for PRP and Acell was no where near this quote you got.
You could fly to Sarasota and have Dr Greco do your PRP. I think he might be around $1000.00 unless he went up since a few years ago. He was the one that "pioneered" PRP for hair growth. I have heard from some hair loss exports that his method may be the most effective as he has his own growth factors he adds to the matrix. I had it done twice from him. The first time seemed to be more effective than the second time but I heard he has since changed his matrix again to even a better one. I live in Florida and I am tempted to try his new method but with that amount of money I can buy almost a year's worth of Proxiphen and I think they work very similar. This guy charges $4000-$5000, claims your hair will thicken and the growth will last at least two years. Apparently he's done a lot of these treatments but I don't see a ton of people documenting their results online, for good or bad.

Without verifiable, consistent evidence of reliable results, and I've yet to find any either, I would not do it.
So far among the available options, which treatment is better ?
At age 30 and starting to get bald, I would just use Minoxidil 5% and if that didn't seem effective after 6 months, up the concentration to 12-15%. Then I would hang in there looking forward five years to a Replicel or Tsuji treatment. Save up some money during that time period. I absolutely do not believe PRP done today by anyone is effective enough to warrant the treatment regardless of cost. There will come a time, probably within that five years, where extracellular dna added to a stem cell matrix and PRP will demonstrate androgen resistent follicle growth.
