Been on finasteride for about 3 years. first year been on propecia then two years 1/4 proscar. Not exactly sure when this happened but for a long time now, since taking finasteride, my urine dripps towards the end of urinating. Don't really have any problems with the force of the piss but the dripps. I didn;t think much of it but I felt some discomfort in the urethra of my penis. Also, once in a while, when my ejaculate, i feel some discomfort in my urethra as well same discomfort sensation. I don't have a problem with getting an erection or keeping it, don't have pain in testicles.

Does anyone know if this is common? dripping urine and occasional pain in penis or urethra while on finasteride? Anyone know what I should do? Any links where i can read more on this. This is the only thing that worries me.

I was on propecia for 6 months until recently. Amongst other sides I did notice the dripping, almost felt like my pc muscles were fatigued or weak. I also had to get up to take a piss almost every night. I decided to discontinue for a little while, and thus far it seems most sides have improved or resolved. I'll re-evaluate resuming shortly. I'm very disappointed to be one who experiences sides as I do believe I was beginning to notice some positive effects.

You might have an infection. Get it checked out.

Could this be linked to the prostate changing size? Possibly reducing?

Usually a reduction in prostate size would mean less issues with the urinary tract, but with finasteride you never know...

I don't experience pain, but I have actually noticed ever since starting on finasteride that my urethra doesn't completely void urine even after putting the lizard away, and sometimes I get some residual dripping.

I usually need to 'flex' my prostate after urinating to make sure my urethra has cleared before zipping up. If this is even related to finasteride, I would guess it has to do with a shrunken prostate.
