If I ever get tested for drugs. Will propecia show that I'm using a form of steroids or something?

Will it show up as a performance enhancing drug?

I know I'm supposed to declare I'm using propecia in any examination anyway, but I'm just curious as to whether it's considered a steroid?

Apparently it is banned by some sports. Not because it's a performance enhancer but because it can mask them.

What makes you think you'd be drug tested anyway?

just wondering, as i'm wanting to join up to a gym, maybe take up a few martial arts sports. and if i get into tournaments, well, they "might" test for drug use.

i have no idea if they do, i'm just concerned that if they test for drugs...

That`s very unlikely in an amateour level. But if you decide to become a professional karateka then you should think twice.

Last season in the Italian Serie A -football league two players were busted in a drug test becouse of finasterid. Both did claim that they were taking it to treat hairloss, but it didn`t matter since it is in the list of banned substances.

Jose Theodore (former Montreal Canadiens goalie) had a minor scandal when propecia showed up in one of his NHL drug tests. I don't remember there being any disipline action though just jokes in the news paper.
