Dry, Brittle, Fried Hair From Finasteride?

Has anyone over come this, my hair was always curly and glossy and since using finasteride 4 months ago it has gone a completely different texture...

finasteride generally hasn’t done this to me but Minoxidil has.

Per your timeline, you are right around the month that studies start showing results from finasteride. Perhaps you had a bad initial shed and lost a lot of density.

You could try biotin and a better conditioner.

I'd bet good money that's what's causing the first posters problem. I doubt it is finasteride. I'd be shocked if it was.

He might want to take it easy with the nizoral. Cut back on the number of washes, or for example if he follows the directions on the back of the bottle and lathers twice, instead switch to just once.

That's what I do, I use nizoral twice a week but only lather and rinse once.
