Dry skin/dandruff from minoxidil

Hey!

I've been using minoxidil 5 % for almos 1 month now and I have started getting dandruff or dry skin from it? How can I fix this?

Can I add moisturizer after the minoxidil has dried or will this interrupt with the treatment?

It's everywhere on my hairline where I've put the minoxidil. Could this interfere with the new growing hair?

JUST STOP THE minoxidil ALL TOGETHER!

I too got Sise effects ! very dry flaky scalp and excessive dandruff whilst using the topical minoxidil.

It went away when I stopped using the minoxidil, shame really as I bought a 6month supply as advertised.

You aren't getting dandruff. It's the flakes from the PPG in the liquid minoxidil solution.

Either use it, find a PPG-free liquid, or switch to foam.

Are you sure about that? I wasn't able to disolve it in water and I didn't get it the first 2-3 weeks I used minoxidil. Now I use maybe 1/2 the dosage and get lots of flakes:/
