I have a feeling it’s going to be the exact same thing as finasteride for me too. It would be a miracle iitf my shedding stops from the switch. Did you have results on finasteride?
it slowed down things but eventually stopped working so my hair is thinner now but I'm pretty sure duta will change things

2 weeks into duta 3 times a week. Still taking finasteride everyday. Going through a massive shed of plus 200 hairs a day. Right side of hairline is taking hit. I’ve got a bad feeling about it.
I'm doing a similar regimen...dutas 2x week with daily finasteride. Shedding has varied greatly during the first month of adding dutas...some days ~70-80; others much less.

It is typical to shed a lot as you transition from finasteride to duta. Did you stop finasteride?

If you are still balding on 5AR inhibitors, it must be contributed to androgens as a whole...

So what does that mean?

DHT isn't the only hormone to cause hair loss, testosterone plays a significant role too. Are you experiencing increased libido, and increased skin/scalp oiliness?

I think duta has definitely raised my testosterone. I’m putting up more weight and looking stronger, more veins and what not. However I don’t have much libido.
I’m also more tired when I’m not lifting. Isn’t it proven that duta causes more testosterone?

Finasteride and dutasteride do raise T. I was mainly asking those questions because I am wondering if you have hyperandrogenicity.

Contrary to popular belief; I’ve never thought that shedding was a great indicator of hair loss and being on and off the forums over the years, I’ve seen a fair few hair loss veterans that agree with me.

Stick to it. When I switched I had shedding too. It will get better and it's not that you really have any choice.

How long did you notice the shed last and when did you start to see duta was more efficient.

Maybe after 7-8 months things slowly started to get better. Dutasteride is known for its bad sheds. I was kind of prepared for it but it was still emotionally hard.

Well here I am. These photos are a month and a half apart. My hairline is getting destroyed. I started taking duta once a week 3 months ago and bumped it up to
EOD 3 weeks ago. I can’t believe it’s eating at my hairline this fast.

1st photo today
2nd month and half ago

So god damn depressed.
Note to all: whenever you hear dumb claims like "finasteride/dutasteride rekt my hairline" psychos like this are who you're talking to
