dutasteride and acne scarring

This might be a stupid qn. But when i get pimples on my face, when they heal they are starting to leave a scar, this couldbt be as a result of dutasteride. I know it sounds stupid, just being 100% sure

No i have similar problem with propecia.

They leave a little mark that takes ages (months) to diminish.

if it bothers you, maybe some antibacterial treatment or something may help?

its very annoying. Im going to see doctor tomorrow to suggest something which may help speep the healing process or something along those lines...

Did this happen before dutasteride or only after taking dutasteride?

When you say scar, are you talking about a discoloured red mark left on the skin where the pimple was? Or are you talking about a small hole or indentation left in your skin??

I dont get prolonged red marks from taking dutasteride, so I cant really comment if dutasteride is causing it...

As long as the pimples arent leaving holes in your skin the red marks will go away...to speeden it up try some AHA lotions or face wash or Salicylic Acid face washes.
