Dutasteride/ Avodart Users, Howz To Going So Far?

Noticed alot of threads recently with people giving duta/ avodart a go. Anyone having any success yet? Sides? Shedding?

Im 2 months in taking avodart EOD alongside finasteride and seems to be shedding more hair in shower. No sides so far......

Hoping to slow down my hair loss or halt it

yeah im using my last 30 then going over to avodart all the time. Just didnt want to go cold turkey and let avodart build up in my system

No but in all seriousness I'm not sure yet.

I don't have crown male pattern baldness but I have diffuse thinning up top all the way back to the crown so my swirl gets bigger-ish because of my diffuse thinning, or at least it appears as such but I feel that my swirl is a lot smaller and tighter since 1-2 months back so that might be something. My frontal area has certainly not improved but I dropped minoxidil 4 months ago (got nothing from that, just darker under the eyes) so I might be recovering from that still.

i think it's nice that you are dropping finasteride not cold turkey and just reducing dose with time, but yeah dutasteride is powerhouse, should thicken up your hair.

ah ok, everyone says to stay on duta fir at least a year so maybe you will see improvement shortly. Im also on minoxidil but thinking of dropping it once i have run out of cans. im away to book myself in for a dermatascope to check for miniaturisation see what my hair is like under a microscope.

It's really difficult to keep any optimism alive, since I don't find any stories of people that shedded using Dutasteride and recovered from that some months ahead.

Would you be due for a mino shed right about now? or are you in the middle of mino sheds?

I started using topical Minoxidil 3 years ago, I don't know if it's still effective but I don't have the courage to stop using it. Since I started Dutasteride I also started using oral Minoxidil (I did this treatment 8/9 years ago with some success).

I can see some hais sprouting in the hairline, but I'm not sure if I can consider this regrowth... Not really positive about anything at this moment.

I reckon if your shedding alot of hair it will grow back stronger.........hopefully
