Dutasteride (Avodart)

Has anyone here used Avodart?

There is a forum (not as good as this one ) that talks all about it. There are a lot of users that claim that it works much better than finasteride. (many of these people had been on finasteride. before) and some even claim an increase in libido. Check it out here: http://www.hairsite4.com/dc/dcboard.php

However, from my understanding, dutasteride inhibits both 5A1 and 5A2 receptors -- and it supposedly decreases serum DHT by more than 90%. This is more than finasteride, and so it seems only logical that there would be more sexual side effects.

well propecia inhibits alpha I and II reductase, but alpha I is the one that causes baldness and propecia is meant to inhibit alpha II, it's a lot weaker than avodart when it comes to inhibiting alpha I, the long term side effects of avodart are unknown and avodart is like 350$ for 3 months compared to propecia which is 130$

not to mention propecia does it's job well and neither are really a regrowth medication, so it doesnt really matter that much unless you need some serious help.
