dutasteride/finasteride and ACNE .. Share you story

I'm looking for anyone who has had ANY impact on their Acne from taking finasteride or dutasteride.

I took finasteride and my body broke out in severe acne. Might hop onto dutasteride to counter that.

But trying to do some research and would appreciate people sharing their stories about finasteride/dutasteride and Acne.

Ever since i started dutas i've barely had anything on my face.

I used to get a pimple biweekly.

Now its monthly or not at all.

Body acne hasn't changed tho. i still get the the pimples on my back that i normally did.

Similar to myself.

I might take some dutasteride.. to correct the Type 1 enzyme imbalance.

Same here, weird and annoying. Pimples seem to take longer to fade too, as in they leave more of a scar.

Yes. Since taking finasteride.. I've had acne on my shoulders and down my back as well as my forehead and chest.

Most have gone but left brown marks behind.

When my Dutas arrives, I'm hoping this will clear them.

I've been on antibiotics for 2 months so far and acne still there though clearing slowly. Maybe because I've only been off finasteride for just over 30 days and finasteride takes 30 days to leave the skin tissue.

I don't understand - are you talking about people who have a "history" of acne?

wierd...but since i have started propecia...my acne in the back is all gone

I'm getting pimples on my scalp, worse than usual, probably the shampoos and the foam causing it.... seems to be a little better this week vs. last week.
