I've been on Avodart for about a year now. My hairline seems to keep receding, but my crown has thickened up immensly. I whipped up a batch of topical spironolactone for the hairline that I'm trying out right now.

Jesus, Tainted Meat, you are on dutasteride, minoxidil, spironolactone,.... basically anything that is available and you are still losing ground. That doesn´t give me hope......

Tauge don't give up hope. I just started adding spironolactone to the hairline to my regimen this month. Basically all of my uncles on both sides of my family are bald. My dad is the only one on either side who isn't completely bald. However, he started developing a bald spot in the last five years. He's 54 though. Kinda sucks because he has a better hairline than I do.

Sometimes genes are just too powerful for medications. I was a NW2 at 17, so as you can see, I have very aggressive genes. I'm going to see how well the spironolactone combats the hairline, as I really have no other choice.
