Dutasteride + Finasteride

I know this idea is not new, but i'm wondering has
anyone tryed it, or is there at least a research on in.

So how about taking 0,5 mg dutasteride + 1 mg finasteride /day ?
Maybe it could block near 100% of scalp dht.
I must remind (correct me if i'm wrong) that
1 mg finasteride lowers scalp DHT by 34%
0,5 mg dutasteride lowers scalp (not serum) DHT by about 54%
A woman's scalp has 75% less DHT that a man's (M.E. Sawaya)

So what if combining them we could have 87% or 95% scalp
DHT inhibition? Fascinating...

Ok, this idea is pretty old, even before dutasteride was out
i read it at alt.baldspot. Anything new?

Hey

A better idea that I've been thinking about is to use Finestride and then use a topical DHT inhibitor. That way you could lower the skin DHT even more without reducing the DHT circulating in your blood to zero. Anyone trying this...or considering it?

Side effects are usually not: bam-boom you have b**ch tits,
you can see/feell the changes happening and stop, without
loosing anything...

Anyway it's just an idea. I probally wouldn't do it without
any research on it.

As about topicals, sh*t. Very few work (only minoxidil
actually has some result). Aplying them and styling
afterwards is pain in the bottom

Yeah I'm sure one or the other, but not both, is better. However Finasteride at this point has more clinical data proving that it is effective in slowing hairloss.

However if you wanted to really knock DHT on it's *** Avodart + Proscar would do it. I just dont think the chemistry in your body would be right by doing that, and your chance for experiencing side effects could greatly increase.
