i was never the emotionall type but for the past week ive been getting this feeling while watching TV, when ever there's a slightly sad scene i get this wave of sad emotions and i get the feeling like im gonna cry
it dosent even have to be really sad scene if its just an emotianll scene its enough to triger this feeling, the feeling passes quite fast but it comes back a few times,
i dont cry or anything like that, ive never had those feelings before and its possible its the dutasteride haha not like it really bothers me but its funny and i thought id share.

dutasteride made you grow a poossy. the question is - does it have hair?

heh, actually you reminded me of something similar that happened to me during my first 2 weeks on finasteride.

You're just bored and climbing on the wall because of the students strike. You need some programming jobs to do, here's one: write an operating system better then windows vista.
I promise next assignment I'll give you will be harder then this easy one.

I experienced the same feelings when I was on finasteride for 11 months... lumps in my throat, felt all emotional, like it well up from deep inside and swirl around in my chest... anyway its definitely a sign of Estrogen dominance and I'd get my hormones checked if I were you, you may be surprised to find your Estradiol off the charts.

Mew, I feel the same way and I've been on finasteride 10 months. I feel more emotional than I've ever been and it seems like it's been escalating. What did your Doctor tell ya when you got your hormones checked?

Check propeciahelp.com, my history is there in the Members Profiles section. The site is for men that quit Finasteride and still experiencing permanent problems -- mental, sexual, physical (ie, gyno) -- not for guys still on the drug. But good info there nonetheless on problems related to Finasteride.

Read the FAQs, get the bloodtests as outlined in the Blood Tests section by your family Doctor or a lab then evaluate what you want to do, ie try DIM supplements or low dose of Arimidex to bring down a high E2 level, if that is what u end up having.

My Doctor still doesn't believe my Finasteride-related side effects (sexual/mental/physical) that I got on the drug and that have yet to resolve since quitting, this is a common scenario for a lotta guys -- the docs that prescrive the stuff end up telling you everything is in your head and that your hormone values are "in range" even though they could be borderline low, out of range or high... the guys on Propeciahelp.com (myself included) found their systems crashed after quitting the drug and ended up with low Testosterone, High E2, low LH, FSH, DHT (aka Secondary Hypogonadism), but many don't have Pre-Finasteride blood tests to compare against so docs don't believe it for the most part...

Anyway I don't know if you guys are still on Finasteride but if you are experiencing such side effects then you gotta weigh what's most important to you, health or hair. If you do decide to quit best advice I can give u is WEEN OFF so you minimize the shock to your system.

Cheers.

It's not hard to use the results of your tests to self administer Adex or even, if need-be, HRT.

Not knowing your age and all, I'm assuming you're in your 20's. Any doctor that doesn't think there's something wrong when a man in his 20's has testosterone/free test/LH levels at the extreme low end of "normal" should have his head examined.

Bottom line - Your Doctor sucks. Find a new one.
