Early finasteride Side Effects

I noticed around the 2 week mark of starting finasteride that my sex drive has gone down a bit. I also experienced some nausea/vomiting and diarrhea (which may or may not have been caused by the finasteride). My question is: Did any of you finasteride users start with sexual side effects, and then regain your sex drive after a while without coming off the finasteride? Right now I'm trying lowering my dose from 1.25mg to just under 1mg (splitting fincar into 6ths). I remember having sexual side effects with Procerin as well as other side effects which gradually went away after temporarily lowering my dose, and going on and off it a few times. Ironically, Procerin didn't seem to do much for me from what I could tell. I'm hoping my side effects with finasteride will cease with time as well. Also, if anyone is experiencing stomach issues like mine, please let me know. For all I know, it may have been something I ate.

There's a good chance your sides will disappear with time. So if it's nothing unbearable then hang in there a bit.

Be patient, for many people sexual sides disappear after while, if not then you can search the side effects forum where Harie has created a fine thread to counter a low libido/ED.

Thanks guys. This is good stuff to know. Skaff, I love that icon. It's pretty hilarious. You guys think if you get the side effects early on that your body sort of conquers them, so they don't return later on down the road?

I dont really know but with other medications that have sides, its understood that you usually experience side effects when takeing medication at first but they go away when your body adjusts and there is no reason they should return. But I dont know for sure
