Well i had a blood test taken by my doctor for all sorts of things. The results were shocking, I was told i had high levels of TES but also higher then normal levels of estrogen. This really scared me because i know males are not supposed to have that much estrogen. I have been searching the net on why this may be and I found an article that says finasteride could be the result. I am waiting for the Doctor to call me back and see what he says he will do to lower it. in the mean time i am looking for things naturally to help.

Please read this article it is very useful and alot of things i didnt know about.

1/2 tablet = 0.50 mg. You can't get it for cheap. It's a potent anti-cancer medication for post-menopausal women for Christ's sake. It's not Tylenol.

would there be that much of a difference in dht blockage if someone were to take a 1mg pill every other day? wouldnt this in turn maybe keep estrogen levels lower. i know the halflife of finasteride is 6 hours but ive read its effective in fighting for 4 days, probably at a declining rate. so does an every other day regiment sound that bad?

tpeter,

Unless you have libido problems or other types of sexual dysfunction, don't take Arimidex.

The assay used to do the total estrogen test is often inaccurate. Anyway, what you care about are your estradiol levels -- the potent form of estrogen. Get a real blood test done, be assured you have side effects, then make a decision.
