Basically he just had minor recession on temples, took finasteride and his dht itch increased along with high labido and went full on diffuse thinning..

i have minor recession at Norwood 2.4 with no diffuse thinning and this sh*t scares the f*** out of me to start finasteride

Also has anyone had any regrowth on any 5ar inhibitor while having an increase in the dht itch? If so we can say dht itch is not real. If not then the itch can be an indicator if the treatment/finasteride is not working

funny how these stories never have before & afters.

High libido, itching, shedding were all things I experienced for at least a year on finasteride/dutasteride but I never went below baseline.

Taking finasteride is a gamble. The odds may be on your side but it's still a gamble, you have to decide if it's worth for you and move on.

I saw this post too and it made me nervous as well. But you got to remember this is ANECDOTAL and 8 million people take the drug. It could be that he was not a good responder and the drug only slowed down what would otherwise have been worse. It is also possible he never paid attention to the thinning. I personally find my hair looks way worse under intense lighting. Also, you are better off doing your due diligence to fight hair loss than regret not fighting at all.
