Excessive growth of facial hairs - Minoxidil

Happy holidays!

After using Minoxidil for about two and half months, I noticed that there is (unwanted) “hairâ€￾ growth around the two sides of my eyes. I have a receding hairline, so I apply minoxidil on the two usual “cornersâ€￾ of my hairlines. But for unknown reason, I got an extremely fast (unwanted) hair growth right beneath the bald spots of the two “corners.â€￾ May I ask what is the right solution for this side effect?

I did enjoy some hair growth in the bald spots, but much slower than other part of my face.

I’m using Rogaine foam these days, applying a full cup on each corner. Is this considered over dose? Thank you.

I'm in the same boat. Using 5% for about 3 months now, and found new pair growth around my eyebrows. I am now one of those guys who thread around their eyes (eyebrows remain untouched though). :blush:

On the plus side, I am seeing phenomenal regrowth from finasteride+minoxidil!

It can be hard not to get a little bit of minoxil running down your face particularlly around the eye brows when treating harlines, its very runny. Try using less and wash the area round your eyes imediatelly after use. Minoxidil should only grow hair on area's its placed on at least with topicals.

Minoxidil gets in your bloodstream and that's why you get hairgrowth on other places where you don't want it. Not much you can do about it but to shave it.

I don't think I've had this problem with minoxidil. However, if you have this problem, if you take finasteride it should help offset the body hair growth.

Well your luck could always change. You might slowly acquire an acromegalic, bloated, prune face to help offset the distracting eyebrow hairs.
