That is exactly the main side effect I had. After 2 months I reduced dose to 0.5mg per day and after a few more weeks reduced it to 0.25mg per day then finally the sides were tollerable.
After 7 months I continued to lose hair all the time so in last few weeks switched to dutasteride. Irronically despite dutasteride being the stronger drug I am getting no sides and i'm on the full dose of dutasteride
Make sure you take finasteride early evening before you go to bed to help be tired at the right time. Keep the full dose for as many days/weeks as you can as sides may calm down. I they don't then condsider reducing dose like I did. You need to keep up for at least 6 months to see possible effectiveness.
I hope it works for you but you could follow my path if it does not in 6-12 months time.
