Experiencing side effects on finasteride

Hi, I'm new to these boards so apologies if I have posted this in the wrong area. I decided to take the plunge and get on "the big 3" due to experiencing steady frontal hairline recession and gradual thinning at the crown area. I have been taking 1mg of generic propecia (aindeem) daily for the past 3 weeks along with the recommended amount of minoxidil and nizoral. I have experienced no cognitive function related side effects or mood related side effects such as depression. However since taking my very first pill I have not been experiencing any spontaneuos erections first thing in the morning or throught the day. I can still achieve erections intentionally but I would say these are around 15-20% less intense that what I experienced prior taking the medicine.

I am trying to remain rational about what I'm experiencing and the best case scenario would be that I could continue the treatment and my body would adjust accordingly, but if continuation could pose a major risk to my sexual health I'd obviously sooner stop. If any of the more experienced members on here could perhaps advise me on what steps I should take I would appreciate it. I've seen a few members suggesting halving the dose to 0.5mg could help but should I first try and ride it out a little longer on 1mg and see what happens? Any other suggestions welcome. I also wish everyone else on here who is fighting the same battle good luck with their regimen.

Try to be more specific like
1.your age
2.dosage frequency like everyday or every other day
3.Any other thing strange like swelling or anything.

You knw what scrap all i said.I just paid attention(sorry) and you said you felt a bit weird after popping your FIRST pill. Its just the stress and anxiety scaring you.Don't be so scared.Try to ease up a bit is all i can say.As for any future side's that could happen im will explain it to you in a simple way.
When you take anything that changes your hormone levels your body tries to fix it by balancing the change and thats when you get those SIDES.Usually users just quit it and then move on after using it for a month. If one uses it consistently his sides WILL go away after some time when the body has adapted to the sudden change. The time can of balancing can be 1-3 months and then all goes back to normal. However if it doesn't after using it for 3 months or more quitting it is the only otiom. You should continue finasteride for 2 more months and if your sides still persist(First de stress and then check for sides) then quit and consult a doctor.
About 5% develop sides and some just get it going without any sides.I for one i guess not that lucky.I have been on finasteride for about 3 weeks and i noticed that i have a bit thin sperm. But im still gonna use it for 2 more months then ill quit if the sides persist. Will keep you updated if you ask.Good luck and destress man(Stress kills more then male pattern baldness)

joey59, have a look at the side effect incidence tables here. It seems everyone adjusts soonest within 1 year and at the latest after 4 years. The data unfortunately doesn't state how many people take closer to 1 year than to 4 years, but nonetheless, people seem to adjust. Scroll to "Table 1 : Drug-Related Adverse Experiences".
