I am a big fan of NBA on TNT, possibly the most popular basket ball show in the world right now, whit Shaq, charles barkley, kenny smith etc.. all famous retired nba players

And i just spotted something very subtile on kenny's head. made some research and found he just got smp.

it's very very subtile i admit ! but i still think that for someone that don't mind 2-3000 $ at all, it gives a shadow on top of the head and frame his face nicely ! and before as you can see in the first photo he has a pretty ''high'' forehead (in these situation its even more important to frame the face ! even if its just with a ''shadow'' ).

I saw a guy with very badly done SMP on a dating show on TV. It looked really unnatural. The colour was a bit too grey-ish for a guy in his twenties, and his eyebrows were of a completely different colour. Also the hairline was too sharp, especially in the temporal area. He looked a bit “off” and I think he had lots of body issues - he said he had been obese and lost a lot of weight. He came across as very insecure, and in the end was rejected by the woman because “they did not have enough in common”. I felt sorry for him.

I think SMP will work best if you have diffuse thinning, to create the illusion of more density. When you still have some hair on your head it creates a 3D effect. Without hair you are getting a shiny head under some light, whereas a person with a shaved head of hair would not get that.

I feel like another problem with SMP, apart from looking fake and all that, is the fact that - who with a full head of hair keeps it shaved to the bone 24/7? I for one doesn't know anyone who does. Not that there aren't people who does that, but they aren't really common. It is pretty much only guys suffering from hair loss that does. So it would just seem too suspect if you kept a "full head of hair" shaved down constantly, not letting it grow out at any point.

They are already seen as bald. Showed my sister pics of dudes with SMP and she said they're all in the bald category to her and there isn't much difference.

You can do this if you are very confident and don’t mind people noticing it’s fake at first sight, and if you can own it.
But like with this guy on TV, who clearly lacked confidence and whose dinner date was full of awkward silences, it was only painful to watch.

Yeah, I mean the hairline outline definitely improves the appearance of someone as opposed to a frameless head, but I feel like people often exaggerate it. I mean if a NW2-3 guy shaves his head and talks about how he knows what it's like to be bald that's pretty stupid, but it's not like some galactic difference between the two, and like you said you still kinda fall into the "bald" category. I don't think there are anyone who looks better with a slick shaved full head of hair, maybe a few people can look better with a buzzcut with the hair slightly grown out, but not with a slick shave.

Dating is awkward in general, blind dating in particular - sometimes it's difficult to find chemistry when you meet a complete stranger in person for the first time. I hate those shows, they trigger anxiety.

Absolutely! There is something artificial about it. It’s much nicer if you meet someone in real life, say a friend of a friend, and something develops naturally.
And I would die of anxiety if I had to go on a date on TV. I do not want to be on TV, period.
I once had a problem with my gas boiler, and a technician was coming over. 5 Minutes before he arrived, he called me to say he had a film crew with him (national TV!), as he was participating in a TV show, and could he please bring them along and also have them interview me.
Yeah right, as if I was going to allow a film crew to film my private space, my living room, my gas boiler. I refused, and in the end he did not help me with my problem.

I think this looks really good. Good for him for going ahead with it. Many nba players do it too like Chris Paul and coach Doctor Rivers.

Hairline is way too low and straight, looks fake unfortunately. Also his head is still super shiny, typical of bald guys.

This is not that uncommon among African americans. Many of them, even tho they are perfect norwood 1 or 2s keep their head buzz very short or even clean shaved. 2pac was an example of this and there are many more. This doesnt seem to be as common among whites. I know that mexicans and central american youngsters keep their hair buzzed or even clean shaved even tho they have perfect hair.

And if im not mistaken, I think the buzz hairstyle is also pretty common for russians.

You dont need to be bald or balding to keep your head shaved. I remember in my teens when I had perfect hair I would buzz my hair with a 0 guard very often.

English footballer Ashley Young always kept his hair 100% clean shaved, until one day I saw his hair grown out a little and he was a perfect nw1 too.

It’s almost as if good looking fit guys with successful careers can have hot wives. Who would’ve thought?
No offence I don’t think he is good looking. Charles Barkley is also bald and a similar age to him and he has much better facial features. Only Charles is fat now

Yeah it does depend on culture. In my country I don’t really see all that many people with a NW1-3 shaving their head down to the bone, it is pretty much only people with advanced balding who does that. Even then I see NW4+ people who don’t.

I still would just find it too suspicious if someone with a «full head of hair» slick shaved their head 24/7. It must be embarrassing af when people find out that you have actually tattooed your head to make it look like you’re shaving by choice.

To be honest, the clean shaved/buzz cut style can look pretty damn f*cking good if you have the right headshape. It's good looking, something you can do urself without paying, you can do it whenever you want AND it's comfortable as f***. I have a friend with 0 hairloss and his been buzzing his hair for at LEAST 10 years without letting it grow more than a few milimeter once.

Lets say I would never go bald, i can guarantee you that I would buzz my hair more often than not, for sure.
