I am 17 years old with hairloss all over! My hair started thinning after taking accutane for acne and now I am taking propecia for hair. Now I go soft with girls to often if you know what I mean. Will the problems ever end? Haha I feel sort of defective

Ehhhh.... I know, dude... Trust me, I know...

Listen, I'm going to act like the old guy and give you a bit of advice. (I'm 22, mind you, and balding since 18.)

Hair is NOT worth wasting your young years. Study HARD. Study HARD. Go to college.

Talk to girls. Get off Propecia, and switch to Rogaine.

It's not worth it, brother. Going limp means it's not working right for you.

My 2 cents.

Ya I'm truly considering it, but damn nothing else is as proven to work as propecia and I cant afford to lose my hair.It sucks I had such kickass hair I went from being a hair hero to a soon to be hair zero :dunno:

You can still get it up. Just takes a little more work :)

Stay on the finasteride. Hit the gym and bring some self esteem back.

17 is pretty young to be on finasteride and very young to be getting problems with your wood.

Lol I agree. When I was 17 I actually wouldnt of minded a bit of Finasteride to stop my constant errections, sometimes I had to sit down for 5-10 minutes in random places just so it went down, talk about embarassing :$

I never get errections in public now :(

I know you're freaking out... but listen to the guys here. Don't get on propecia now. You don't need to be messing with your hormones at 17... the great thing is that there are lots of treatments that are coming in the next few years and you're going to be able to take advantage of them. Use minoxidil, copper peptides, maybe some nizoral shampoo. Those should help you maintain long enough to get on some of the new treatments like Follica, Neosh101, or even hair muliplication. Hang in there guy.

this is a better suggestion for a 17 yr old. but I doubt with minoxidil alone will be able to retain what he has now because minoxidil really knock those hairs out. And hopefully months after that, he will experience regrowth.
