Fenugreek 5ar Inhibitor - Thoughts?

Wondering if anyone has tried it, from research it is a 5ar inhibitor, even on sites that are not related to hair loss it claims fenugreek reduces dht, and some people are claiming similar sides to finasteride/propecia without im assuming the potential for permanent long term issues being a natural herb,

It has had quite a few studies done on it proper double bind etc etc... and not just on rats

I use fenugreek stuf in my personal lotion.

I use it as a weight lifting supplement. It's a natural test booster. Is a 5ar inhibitor so could help slightly for hair loss. Not as potent as finasteride tho.

its not the best smelling stuff mate, I usually have this in curry gives it an amazing flavour but you usually end up ponging for a couple days after!

Apparently some people are saying they have had similar effects to that of finasteride, it works to reduce the amount of test that is converted to dht resulting in higher free test,

is you libido etc high,

And judging by the guy who took it in the first link hes had amazing results

I believe it's similar to saw palmetto but with less studies on it relating to hairless. I use saw palmetto and believe it to be a weak 5ar inhibitor.

I take finasteride without sides so if your sensitive to finasteride might be with this stuff too. Libido is fine, getting morning wood almost every day. Still losing hair on finasteride though so I am not your typical responder. Fenugreek is actually shown to boost libido, more so than helping with lifting. Take 1,000mg daily. You are right, fenugreek smell strong and even "pungent", but I mix it with other essential oils, lavender, thyme, etc.

I've used saw palmetto ages ago used to take quite a bit never see any results though was still losing hair,

Yeah in that case I suppose it effects everyone differently! I think most people still lose hair on it anyway no?

I use this special combination:
Jojoba esters, Limanthes alba, Borago officinalis, Rosa moschata, Oenothera biennis, Persea gratísima, Serenoa serrulata, Butyruspermun parkii, Rosmarinun officinalis, Lavandula officinalis, Melaleuca alternifolia, Origanum vulgaris, Thymus vulgaris, Laurus nobilis, Anthemis nobilis, Ocimun basilicum, Salvia officinalis, Mentha piperita, Foeniculum vulgare, Citrus limonun, Carum petroselinum, Eugenia caryophyllus.

Maybe. I still think this or anything else claiming effectiveness in the same as propecia would need to have the same strength to get results for male pattern baldness, and that strength will give you the same or similar sides. Might still be safer though because finasteride inhibits some stuff like neurosteroids it really shouldnt be.
Most natural stuff in the normal doses isnt going to be strong enough.

Herbal supplements are best if it is a standardized extract of the active compounds. I'd have to check around to see if some company produces it, but probably would be good to take it with saw palmetto also, might have some combined effect.

I was seeing articles that claim this actually raises your T and DHT. Most of this stuff just lacks any real evidence it works. I guess no one cares enough to check some hormones on a group of men that use it for a while. A small simple study doesnt seem that hard to do.

it does raise testosterone but reduces dht because it blocks 5ar so it cant convert

I have been taking it for 2-3 weeks just to experiment and it increased my libido by a sh*t ton
Not much effect on hair tho but it might be too soon to tell

I haven't taken any pics but there is no change in shedding of my hair, the thickness is also the same. I'm going to give it a few months to really see if there's any change but I doubt it will, the only thing it did do is increase my already sky high libido so I can't go a day without sex or jerking off
