Fertility and Finasteride?

So being 21 and wanting kids in the future, should finasteride be a concern? Does is effect sperm quality and fertility? I'm going to discuss with my doctor about going on finasteride next week and this one concern I have along with the other's. I'm going to be taking only .25mg to start out with anyways as I have been a positive responder to minoxidil.
I was using topical spironolactone and 1% keto as a small boost along with minoxidil but now that S5 is being discontinued and isn't proven or studied to begin with, I figured I better bite the bullet and give finasteride a shot and pray I don't get sexual sides or gynecomastia.

Effects on fertility
Infertility has been reported in men who took finasteride for long time and had other risk factors that may affect fertility. Normalisation or improvement of seminal quality has been reported after discontinuation of finasteride. Long-term clinical studies about the effects of finasteride on fertility in men have not been conducted.

Hey,

I'm new to this forum but registered after following some of the posts that could help find a solution.

I'm upping this post because I'm 26, started to lose hair at 18 and now really want to do something about it. My brother is 29 and has lost almost all his hair.

I decided to take action and started taking 1mg Finasterid once a day a week ago. I Haven't had any side effects for now, but feel worried as I was thinking about having kids in a 2 to 3 years time. I wouldn't like to find myself infertile after those years of taking Finasterid and wouldn't want my kids to have malformations because I took it...

Have any of you had kids while being of Finasterid ? Any experience of trying to have kids and not being able to ?
